Sunday, Nov. 1 | 8:00 am - 1:00 pm | West Ave. Lobby -
Halloween is coming and, once again, St. John’s will be collecting surplus Halloween treats on Sunday, November 1 in the West Avenue Lobby from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Candy donations from friends and family are welcome, so feel free to share this information and through your listservs and other networks!
Last year we collected over 20 huge shopping bags of mini chocolate bars, lollipops, Reese's Cups, Tootsie Rolls, M&Ms, etc. This year, we hope to top that! Please ensure that all donated candy remains individually wrapped. Volunteers at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral will use the candy to assemble gift bags for Ukrainian children to receive by Christmas.
This will now be the fifth Christmas in Ukraine that is devastated by war. Please help to bring a little love and joy to these children, many of whom have never known peace in their young lives.
