This summer, the St. John’s Choir and the St. John’s Singers will combine to form a Summer Choir that sings one Sunday each month, on July 6 and August 10. We will also have a women’s ensemble on July 13 and a men’s ensemble on August 17. All are invited to participate, whether you've sung with one of our choirs before or not!
Rehearsals for all will be the day of at 9:00 am, prior to the 10:00 am service. This is a great opportunity if you want to sing in the choir without having to attend a weekday rehearsal. We welcome anyone who is interested in singing in the choir but hesitates to make a full commitment. It is a great opportunity to "try before you buy" if you're on the fence about joining a regular choir for the full program year.
As a benefit, Music Director Jason West, can send you copies of music and recordings of the anthems in advance. That way you can feel more prepared before the morning you sing. Feel free to talk with him at the organ console after the service or use the form below to contact him online.
In between the Sundays when the choir sings, we are featuring singers and instrumentalists, both from our church family or guest musicians who have played or sung for us during the past year.
