St. John’s Norwood welcomes guest vocal group CLAY to its 10:00 am worship service on Sunday, September 6. CLAY sings sacred music in a variety of blended styles, including gospel, jazz, and classical.
Based in the Metro DC area, CLAY is a Christian music group whose members have been making music together in various forms for many years. Most of the group members have sung together since college, and some since childhood. Since 2012, CLAY has shared its ministry in churches and at religious events throughout the region.
The name CLAY speaks to both the group’s origin and purpose: a reminder that the Creator who breathed life into dust still fills weak and imperfect vessels with his Spirit. Through its music, CLAY seeks to offer a faithful witness that is both inspiring and uplifting.
