The Opportunity Shop, one of St John’s longest running outreach missions, is pleased to participate in a St. John’s tradition—THIRD SUNDAY SUPPER!
On Sunday, SEPTEMBER 20, the Shop will host an Italian supper in the Parish Hall from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. We will share some history of the shop and anecdotes of experiences over the years. We have been blessed and pleased to donate over $100,000 this year alone, to the St John’s Justice & Community Engagement Ministries!
For 75 years, the volunteer run shop has operated from various locations in Bethesda. Clothing, books, jewelry, housewares, art, and more have made the shop a place to find the thing you need and the thing you love. But more than just selling, the shop is a COMMUNITY place of camaraderie and purpose. We come to know our customers, make friends, and develop skills.
Please JOIN US for a delicious meal and a friendly evening. We’ll share the shop’s fruitful history while showcasing some of our wares—clothing, art, china, and tchotchkes.
Suggested donations are $5 per person or $20 per family.
