Why are an ever-increasing majority being left behind in an outwardly thriving economy? What are the consequences? What does God say? What can we do about it?
This Lent St. John's Norwood is undertaking a special educational series called "Uneven Ground: A Call for Economic Justice," featuring a series of four Adult Forums that will look at economic injustice both broadly and close to home; illuminate the lived realities across socioeconomic backgrounds; and contemplate what a faithful response looks like—spiritually, relationally, and systemically.
We'll kick off the Uneven Ground series with "Economic Inequality: The Experience," an intergenerational and educational activity night and dinner on Sunday, February 22, starting at 6:00 pm.
Along with a delicious pizza dinner, we'll play some classic games with slight rule tweaks that highlights concepts related to causes of and solutions to today's extreme levels of economic inequality: think "Stratified" Monopoly and "Unionized" Checkers. Come play and learn!
