Sunday, Feb. 15 | 9:00 am & 11:15 am services | Nave of St. John's Norwood / 11:15 YouTube livestream -
On Sunday, February 15, a guest choir will lead our music at the 9:00 am and 11:15 am services: Pro Musica, the premier vocal ensemble from Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park. Led by conductor Dr. Anwar Ottley, the group has sung at Carnegie Hall, the National Gallery of Art, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and more—so you won't want to miss it!
A select chamber choir of Washington Adventist University, Pro Musica is a culturally rich ensemble of approximately 24 auditioned singers hailing from over 15 counties. This diversity enables the group to authentically blend music from a variety of Indigenous traditions across the globe within the choral and concert medium, creating a unique and enriched experience for both the ensemble and its audience. Established in 1967 and currently under the leadership of Dr. Anwar Ottley, the choir enjoys a long legacy of excellence for which it has become widely known.
The group previously sang at St. John's in November of 2024 and March of 2025.
