Acolyte Guild

OUR Worship ministries

At the 9:00 am Sunday Service, Acolyte Teams lead procession and recession, light and extinguish candles, assist the clergy to set the altar at communion, and assist during the offertory. Service as an Acolyte is open to parishioners 3rd grade and up, and is particularly well suited for youth and families.

Training is provided; experience and comfort level guide role assignment. No weekday obligations. Four Acolyte teams rotate in service throughout the church year.

Join us for a Sunday Service

We offer four Sunday worship services to deepen your connection to God in community. Whether you attend in person or join via the livestream, we invite you to worship with us however you're able.

Rite I Eucharist

At this traditional-language, spoken communion service, you’ll find quiet time for reflection and peaceful prayer, gathering with others in St. Mary’s Chapel to hear the day’s sermon and scripture.

Family Service

This communion service combines scripture, music, lessons, and prayer with music led by the St. John’s Singers with two unique supports for worshipping families: Our new Pray Ground and Children’s Chapel.

Rite II Eucharist

This traditional communion service celebrates God’s love and presence in our lives. Whether your join in person or through the livestream, we'll worship through scripture, prayers, and hymns, with music led by the St. John’s Choir.

WATCH LIVESTREAM

Come as You Are Eucharist

This is the perfect service for people who prefer an informal worship setting. At this evening service, the sermon is more conversational, and we gather for communion in the round.
