World Refugee Day Celebration

Tuesday, June 17  |  6:30 - 8:30 pm  |  Parish Hall  -

Honor World Refugee Day with St. John's Norwood and Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA) by attending a special panel discussion on "carrying forward the legacy of welcome." It's an opportunity to gather and together reflect on and recommit to the work of welcome—hearing directly from those with lived experience, connecting with neighbors old and new, and exploring how each of us can help carry that legacy forward.

Krystin Peck, CEO of LSSNCA, will serve as moderator. Panelists will include Delegate Teresa Woorman, Maryland House of Delegates; members and leaders of the refugee community; and Rahat Khpalwak, Director of Performance and Quality Improvement at LSSNCA.
