May 31 – Wear Orange Sunday

Please wear orange to St. John's on Sunday, May 31 to honor Hadiya Pendleton and all victims and survivors of gun violence. Wear your own orange clothing or buy a Wear Orange t-shirt, which helps support Everytown for Gun Safety. (GVP volunteers will have a few extra t-shirts on hand, in case you forget.)

Worship services that Sunday will include prayers and messages about the national epidemic of gun violence and how you can help prevent it.

Then at our 10:00 am forum, survivor Rosemary Lytle will share her story of losing her father, and State Senator Sara Love (District 16) will describe her role in passing SB 334. This new law will ban the sale of handguns that can easily be converted to fully automatic machine guns.
