St. John’s has made incredible progress toward raising the minimum $350,000 we estimate is needed to finance critical improvements to the safety and operation of the kitchen! We are quite pleased with the response to date. With additional contributions, we will be in a position to make critical kitchen upgrades and hopefully do even more to enhance the operation of the kitchen for decades to come. Thank you to all who have participated in this special effort to restore St. John’s commercial kitchen for our parish’s current and potential future uses.
As fundraising continues, the Vestry has authorized the first major step of the project to begin: the execution of the design and construction administration agreement. This will allow the engineers to complete technical drawings and obtain formal bids from vendors for the commercial kitchen. Importantly, this will enable the Kitchen Task Force to better anticipate any changes in costs caused by the evolving economic environment.
