February Outreach Sunday to Benefit Seabury Resources for Aging

Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025  -

On Sunday, February 23, please give generously to support service to older adults in the region by contributing to Seabury Resources for Aging (Seabury).

Affiliated with the Diocese of Washington for over 100 years, the mission of Seabury Resources for Aging is to provide personalized, affordable services and housing options to help older adults in the greater Washington DC area live with independence and dignity. Seabury focuses on expanding affordable senior housing, increasing connection to resources, bridging social isolation and combating senior hunger. Seabury is also actively engaged in  redeveloping its affordable senior communities in Tenleytown, DC and in Silver Spring, Maryland so that the newly developed communities will feature deeper affordability for its seniors.

St. John’s has supported Seabury for over a decade as they have helped recognize the service of older adults in our community and provided support to others. Seabury will once again be part of an Adult Forum in May of this year. At that forum, Seabury’s Care Management team will discuss how best to address planning ahead for needs of our loved ones as they experience health challenges and the need for support, and how best to have these often difficult discussions.

To learn more about Seabury, go to seaburyresources.org or use the form below to connect with Suzanne Welch, a St. John’s parishioner and a member of the Seabury board.

Donations may be made via Breeze (Select “Outreach Sunday: Seabury” from the drop-down menu.); by texting “outreach” to (301) 685-7608; or by check, payable to St. John’s Norwood with “Seabury Resources for Aging” on the memo line.

Thanks!
