Our children and youth are the future of the church. Will you share your gifts by teaching one of our Church School classes this year? Teaching is a vital ministry—an opportunity to welcome families, nurture faith, and model the love of Christ for the next generation.
We especially need support for the following classes:
- Grades 3–5 (Godly Play) - 2 more adults to serve with Betsy Samuel
- Grades 6/7 and 8/9 (two classes) - 5 more adults to serve with Emma Cowan
What we ask
- A loving, patient presence for children and teens on Sunday mornings (or other regularly scheduled formation times).
- A commitment of roughly one year; teams of three to four teachers per class make the load lighter, allow for flexible schedules, and provide continuity.
- Completion of our parish volunteer requirements (basic training and background check) so we can keep everyone safe.
What we provide
- Lesson plans, materials, and support from our Christian formation leaders.
- Orientation and continuing training — you don’t need to be an expert, only willing to listen, learn, and lead.
- A joyful, collegial team and the knowledge that you are helping form disciples of Christ.
