St. John’s annual outing to a Chesapeake Baysox baseball game will be on Wednesday, July 9. The Baysox will battle the Reading Fightin’ Phils at 6:35 pm.
The Baysox are the Orioles AA team and features some players who are on a fast track to the majors! We will again sit in the air-conditioned Diamond Club on the second level directly behind home plate. The Diamond Club has plate glass windows with a view of the field as well as outdoor seating overlooking home plate.
It is German beer and food evening in the Club. From 6:00 to 8:00 pm, we will be treated to unlimited German beer (as well as soft drinks, tea, and lemonade) and German food. The buffet will include a host of German delights: soft pretzels with beer cheese, meatballs, bratwurst, roasted chicken, roasted vegetables, potato bake, cakes, and more.
The Baysox play at Prince George’s Stadium, located a mile off of Route 50 in Bowie. The all-inclusive cost is $59. Parking is ample and free. Tickets will be at will call.
The event is sponsored by St. John's Mens’ Ministry, but is open to ALL parishioners.
