April 27 is Outreach Sunday to Benefit Bethesda Help

On Sunday, April 27, all undesignated checks and cash will be donated to Bethesda Help. This local, all-volunteer nonprofit provides critical safety net services—food and prescription assistance—in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington, and nearby areas.  Volunteers serve
as "officer of the day," screening and responding to voice messages and talking to clients and social workers; drive food deliveries to families in need; pack bags of shelf-stable food; maintain the food pantry; write the quarterly newsletter; and manage the finances.  From January through December of 2024, Bethesda Help delivered 8,400 bags of shelf-stable groceries, made 2,900 food deliveries, distributed 4,022 grocery cards, and delivered 2,360 kids' snack bags.  Learn more at bethesdahelp.org.

Donations may be made via Breeze (select “Outreach Sunday: Bethesda Help” from the drop-down menu) or by check, payable to St. John’s Norwood with “Bethesda Help” on the memo line. Thanks!
