As we prepare to celebrate Pentecost on Sunday, May 24, we invite every member of our church family to take part in a joyful and meaningful tradition: bringing cakes to share. Pentecost marks the outpouring of the Holy Spirit—a moment of unity, renewal, and the birth of the Church. It is a time filled with energy, hope, and gratitude, and what better way to celebrate the birth of the Church than with cake?
Cake, in this context, is more than a sweet treat. It symbolizes celebration, abundance, and the sweetness of fellowship. Each cake reflects the unique gifts each person brings to our community, reminding us of the unique gifts bestowed on each of us by the Holy Spirit.
If you would like to provide a cake, please bring it by 8:30 am on May 24. If your cake contains any common allergens (e.g., tree nuts, sesame, peanuts), please be sure to indicate that. If you provide a gluten-free offering, please be sure to mark it as such as well.
