Tuesday, Jan. 27 | 7:00 pm | Library / Zoom (bit.ly/STJNFaith) -
St. John's Pro-Democracy Book Club will host a discussion of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's After Ten Years, in the Lounge and via Zoom (bit.ly/STJNFaith). Bonhoeffer epitomizes what it means to resist tyranny and fascism and how one acts in faithful witness as a religious and political commitment. We will discuss his crucial 1942 essay about what happened to the German people under Nazism, and are thrilled to welcome Barbara Green, a Bonhoeffer scholar (and translator of Discipleship), to inform our discussion. The book is available in the church library and can also be downloaded free from the Montgomery County Public Library.
