Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026 RESCHEDULED for Sunday, Feb. 1 -
On Sunday, January 25 February 1, please give generously to support service to older adults in the region by contributing to Seabury Resources for Aging (Seabury).
Seabury Resources for Aging helps older adults around the Washington Metropolitan Area live with independence and dignity. Many seniors do not have the resources they need. Some have the resources, but are unsure about their rights and options as they get older. Seabury steps into that gap as a trusted, compassionate authority for all.
Each year, Seabury serves over 6,000 community members and their families with affordable housing and services, including professional Care Management, Aging-in-Place support, and resources to address food insecurity.
Through its affiliation with the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, Seabury provides educational offerings to churches like St. John’s. Additionally, each year Seabury’s Celebration of Service at the Washington Cathedral recognizes individuals whose dedication, compassion, and leadership strengthen their congregations.
In Montgomery County, Seabury’s focus is twofold. Seabury is redeveloping its former Springvale Terrace site into 236 units of much-needed affordable senior housing in downtown Silver Spring. Seabury is also increasing its delivery of care management services to underserved seniors in the County.
Donations may be made via Breeze (Select “Outreach Sunday: Seabury” from the drop-down menu.); by texting “outreach” to (301) 685-7608; or by check, payable to St. John’s Norwood with “Seabury” on the memo line.
