2026 Annual Parish Meeting Report

Following elections at our 2026 Annual Parish Meeting on Sunday, April 19, we congratulate St. John's returning Senior Warden Janet Hall and new Junior Warden Paul Beatty (both for one-year terms); new Vestry members Garry BakerBonnie DuffyBecky Neal, and David Teague; (all for three-year terms); and new Lay Delegates to the Diocesan Convention, Clara Lovett and Debra Parker, and new alternates, Cindy Anderson and Tom Hebert (all for three-year terms). 

At this important meeting, we also recognized and thanked both outgoing and incoming leaders.  

We reviewed of highlights of the past year, including

  • A kitchen upgrade, onr which work began at the end of March and could wrap up as early as mid-May
  • A record-setting, discipleship-based pledge season
  • Nave gutter replacement

We previewed work upcoming, including

  • Parish Hall gutter replacement
  • A possible capital campaign to ensure future sustainability.
  • Shoring up property reserves via a range of sources.
  • Addressing St. John's debt status.
  • Beginning a vision process for a post-Sari world, in conjunction with consultants from Ministry Architects.
  • Addressing volunteer challenges in our Worship Ministries.
  • Reviewing our endowments to ensure appropriate uses and guardrails.

We concluded by remembering parishioners who passed away since our 2025 Annual Parish Meeting.
