St. John’s Faith and Democracy Ministry invites you to join a candid discussion with two renowned experts on the Christian Nationalist movement at a Virtual Community Town Hall on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
Katherine Stewart is an award-winning journalist and author of several books about anti-democratic movements in the United States. Most recently, she authored a New York Times bestseller, Money, Lies and God: Inside the Movement to Destroy American Democracy, which is also this month’s selection by St. John’s Pro-Democracy Book Club. The second, Episcopal Bishop Allen Shin, spearheaded The Episcopal House of Bishops’ seminal report, The Crisis of Christian Nationalism, which uses a framework of scripture, tradition, reason and liturgy to shed light on the foundations of the movement, the distortions that drive it, the related dangers we face today, and a hopeful path forward.
