Our gardens can do so much more than “be pretty”: they can support life, feed pollinators, and slow down stormwater to protect our streams, in our collective work to care for Creation. One of our region’s top native plant experts, Jenny Brown of Nature Forward (formerly Audubon Naturalist Society), will show us how to do all of this in our own yards, by starting with a few keystone flowers and shrubs and growing from there. Your yard can be abuzz with birds, butterflies, and other pollinators this year!
If you’re joining us in the Parish Hall, please bring any extra plants/seedlings you have to give away or swap. Maybe your echinacea has spread too far, or you have some extra milkweed sprouting. Anything goes!
As always, you also have the option to tune in via Zoom (link: bit.ly/STJNmain), at 10:00 am on Sunday, April 21.
