Introducing “The St. John’s Singers”
The former “Alleluia Choir” is rebranded and will sing at 9:00 am services.
Children that used to sing (pre-COVID) with the intergenerational Alleluia Choir at 9:00 services have now been brought into St. John’s Choristers program. The choir that will sing for the newly reinstated 9:00 am service has thus been rebranded as The St. John’s Singers.
This choir will be open to college and high school (grades 9-12) students as well as adults. The music will be less challenging than that of the St John’s Choir, and will not require as many singers nor as many voice parts. Rehearsals will be held on Wednesday nights at 7:30 in the choir room, but for those who can’t make the weekday rehearsal, there will be also be a rehearsal on Sunday morning at 8:00 am on the days the Singers perform.(more…)

Autumn is just around the corner and back-to- school shopping has begun. If you’re doing a wardrobe cleanout, please keep in mind that St. John’s Clothing Ministry continues to collect clothing and shoes that are clean, seasonally appropriate, and in very good condition for our partners at Clarksburg Closet (pictured at right), Bethesda Cares, and Interfaith Works Clothing Center.
Two Clothing Ministry bins are located right outside of the Sacristy. If you have questions or need to schedule a pickup or drop-off, call or email Denyse Corrado. Thanks in advance for your generosity!
