Contemplative Prayer is "...remaining silently and openly in God's presence... with compassion, kindness... In contemplative prayer we move beyond language to experience God as Mystery." (Richard Rohr, Center for Action & Contemplation) Come and explore opportunities for developing a contemplative prayer practice on Wednesdays from October 2nd to November 6, 7:00 to 8:00 pm in St. Mary's Chapel. A simple silent meditation will be followed by a brief discussion.

Outreach Sunday for Bethesda Cares

October 27

On Sunday, October 27, all undesignated cash and checks will be donated to Bethesda Cares. This nearby ministry works to prevent, ease, and end homelessness in our community. Bethesda Cares helps the homeless to find housing and access social services, while also preventing homelessness by providing emergency grants to individuals at risk of eviction or utility shut-off. Oktoberfest

St. John's annual Oktoberfest dinner is coming soon! Join us for a traditional Oktoberfest meal including bratwurst, German potato salad, and apple cake. This year, we will be joined by the 2019 J2A pilgrims for a special presentation on their trip to Costa Rica.
