Wear Red for Pentecost

June 9
10:00 am - 11:00 am

Sunday, June 9th, is Pentecost Sunday – the day we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Christian Church. Traditionally, the clergy and congregation wear red on Pentecost, a color symbolizing joy and the fire of the Holy Spirit.

Another St. John’s tradition is to celebrate the birthday of the Church with Pentecost cakes in the Parish Hall, at 10 am. We ask for contributions of cakes or cupcakes (which you can drop off in the Parish Hall on the 9th), and invite everyone to come and celebrate.
