The Growing Threat of Gun Violence: A Community Forum
In the past few weeks, we learned that two students who survived the Parkland shooting and the father of a victim of the Sandy Hook shooting have each committed suicide. Although mass shootings capture headlines, nearly 2/3 of all gun-related death in the U.S. are suicides. To learn more about the challenge of gun violence, please join us on Tuesday evening, April 30th from 7 to 9 pm for a community forum. The evening includes an overview by Rob Wilcox, Deputy Director of Policy and Strategy at Everytown for Gun Safety; a powerful TED Talk by Marjory Stoneman Douglas history teacher Diane Wolk Rogers; plenty of time for questions and answers; and delicious Palestinian refreshments.
The forum is free and open to the public, but please register now to help us plan. You can register here.
