This year’s men’s retreat will begin Friday evening, January 31st and run through noon on Sunday, February 2nd, at Shrine Mont Retreat Center, a beautiful Episcopalian retreat facility in the Shenandoah Mountains.
Our very own parishioner, Jason Bernhardt-Lanier, a talented and experienced retreat leader, will lead discussion and reflection around the topic, “Growing into Who God Created You To Be.” You can catch a sneak peak of what Jason will share with us on the retreat at the Men’s Chill Grill on January 12th.
This retreat offers great fellowship, a chance to re-center, and an opportunity to enjoy a woodsy environment. We’ll enjoy a traditional Saturday night feast at Bryce Ski Resort. This year we’ve invited a talented drum master to lead us in a drum circle. Plan on good food and free time. Other surprises planned!
So mark your calendars-and plan on joining us for a weekend filled with fellowship, fun, and spirituality. You can sign up here or on the paper sign-up on the bulletin board next to the parish office. Car pooling will be available to the retreat site.
The cost is $175 per person, all-inclusive. However, if you’ve never come to a retreat before, it’s free for you! We also offer scholarships, just talk to Sari. Payments can be made in Breeze (to Men’s Retreat) or by a check to St. John’s with “Men’s Retreat” on the memo line, given in the offering plate.
