Book Discussion: How to Be an Antiracist

August 27
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

St. John’s is embarking on a book study on race in America. Our goal is to become more awake to the systemic cycle of racial injustice and prejudice that continues in our country, and the ways we contribute to this cycle, both consciously and subconsciously, particularly for those of us who are white or pass as white. This book study is not only intended for those of us who wish to become better allies of the Black Lives Matter movement, but it is also very much an open invitation to those who may have questions on the subject, but wish to enter into an open and honest dialogue with other fellow parishioners on this timely subject.

In July, we’ll be reading and discussing How to be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi. Click here to register for these discussion groups, and to receive further details.
