Please join us for this Sunday’s virtual Adult Forum featuring noted journalist and commentator Ray Suarez. The parish has regularly hosted Ray for his annual Advent Reflection. For this presentation, he will share his insights on and personal experiences with ageism in the workplace and how this problem has been exacerbated by the pandemic. Ray’s talk will expand on the themes he explored in his recent Washington Post article, which you can read here.

Ray Suarez is a host of the radio and podcast series WorldAffairs, heard on public radio stations around the country, and a Washington reporter for Euronews. He recently completed an appointment as the McCloy Visiting Professor of American Studies at Amherst College and hosted Inside Story, a daily news program on Al Jazeera America. Ray was a senior correspondent for the PBS NewsHour from 1999-2013 and hosted NPR’s Talk of the Nation from 1993-1999. He is the author of three books: Latino Americans: The 500 Year Legacy That Shaped a NationThe Old Neighborhood: What We Lost in the Great Suburban Migration: 1966-1999, and The Holy Vote: The Politics of Faith in America.
