A Land Twice Promised

Details

Date:
February 9
Time:
5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join New Story Leadership for the Middle East (NSL) for an evening of theater and story-telling. NSL will host A Land Twice Promised, a spoken word performance by renowned storyteller Noa Baum, an Israeli who began a heartfelt dialogue with a Palestinian woman while living in the United States. The performance weaves together their memories and their mothers’ stories and creates a moving testimony illuminating the complex and contradictory history and emotions that surround Jerusalem for Israelis and Palestinians alike.

This event will support NSL’s 2019 Program which will bring together five Israeli and five Palestinian young adult leaders for seven weeks this summer to develop the leadership tools to create economic, political, and social change in the Israel-Palestine region. This event is for adults and ages six and up. Cocktails, beverages, and Middle Eastern mezze (heavy hors d’oeuvres) will be served. Ticket prices are as follows: General Admission – $25, Students – $20, Donation Ticket – $50.

Please join the St. John’s Holy Land Committee in supporting this event so that we can once again hear the stories of these amazing young people next summer and support their efforts to create a new story for their region! RSVP at info@newstoryleadership.org.
