Eco Action on National Public Lands Day

St. John’s Eco-Action Team invites you to a morning of action to help care for our urban parks.  As part of National Public Lands Day, volunteers will weed, remove invasive plants, and water vulnerable young trees at Fort Dupont in the District (intersection of F Street and Minnesota Ave, SE). The September 23 event begins at 9:00 am (Check-in starts at 8:30.) and ends at noon. There will be a short training session at the beginning. All equipment will be provided. Youth accompanied by an adult can participate.  Casey Trees, a non-profit that seeks to expand the tree canopy and care for the natural wonders in our area, is sponsoring the event.
