On Sunday, July 23, please give generously to help A Wider Circle (AWC) realize its vision of a world without poverty.
Originally launched to provide beds to families in need, AWC continues to provide 10-15 families a day with beds, dressers, dining sets, and other furniture at no cost. AWC also offers professional development and career advancement opportunities to help individuals lift themselves out of poverty, and has established long-term neighborhood partnerships through its Ward 8 hub. For families facing barriers to self-sufficiency, AWC’s Partnership to Independence program provides 3-5 years of intensive support, including professional development and financial management skills. In addition to this array of direct support services, AWC partners with individuals and neighborhoods to advocate for affordable housing and a living wage. Watch and learn how AWC’s work is “driven by love,” here.
Donations may be made via Breeze (Select “Outreach Sunday: A Wider Circle” from the drop-down menu.); by texting “outreach” to (301) 685-7608; or via check, payable to St. John’s Norwood with “A Wider Circle” on the memo line. Thanks!
