June is PRIDE Month! And like other Episcopal Churches around the country, St. John’s is supporting the LGBTQIA+ community with activities reflecting our commitment to inclusion, love of neighbor and respect for the dignity of every human being.
For the second year, St. John’s is hosting an information table at the MoCo Pride in the Plaza festival to be held on Veterans’ Plaza in Silver Spring on Sunday, June 25, under the gracious leadership of parishioners Maya Crone and Scott McNulty. It’s a great way to let people know we are a welcoming congregation!
We invite you to join us in extending that welcome by helping host the table for an hour or two between noon and 5:00 pm on the 25th. If you can help, please contact Maya and Scott for details. Thank you for helping us live into our faith values of inclusivity, respect and love of neighbor!
