In a recent daily meditation, the respected theologian, Richard Rohr wrote “Nature itself is the primary Bible. The world is the locus of the sacred…”
That could be the theme of the Eco-Action Team’s plans to enlarge our role in nurturing our beautiful world. We recently participated in a one-day campaign to clean up the Anacostia Watershed (pictured). Next fall we plan to work with other non-profits on a variety of projects including planting trees, removing invasive plants from public spaces, and cleaning up littered parks.
To facilitate this program, we plan to create a list of volunteers who might be interested in participating and would like to stay informed of opportunities. Please contact Earle O’Donnell if you would like to be on the list. There is no obligation beyond receiving periodic informational notes.
