- Discussed the order in which line-item budgets would be restored as additional pledges are received. The major categories include property reserves and diocesan giving, and the portion of the 2022 deficit added to the 2023 budget. The Vestry agreed to first eliminate the 2022 deficit amount and restore property reserves, but deferred consideration of further budget restoration until additional pledging materializes.
- Agreed to consider a plan for funding Property and Operating reserves to more realistic levels, as both targets are currently too low and do not reflect the reality of expenses.
- Reviewed the near-final draft charter for the new Governance Coordinating Committee, a new standing committee of the Vestry to advise the Vestry on all matters related to the governance of the church, charged with improving continuity and consistency across other committees and St. John’s operations.
