We have the opportunity to help those in need; be good stewards of God’s Earth by keeping useful things out of the landfill; and, as Marie Kondo might say, experience the “Joy of Decluttering.”
A local Good Samaritan is collecting laptops, refurbishing them, and then providing them to non-profits (such as St. John’s) that provide them to refugees and others so that they can become self-sustaining.
Here’s the wish list for the project:
- all laptops (Macbooks, Windows, Chromebooks) — even if the battery is dead or the power cord/adapter is missing;
- iMacs (Apple desktops);
- laptop bags, USB (wired) keyboards, USB (wired) mice, webcams, headsets, and laptop power cords/adapters.
Experience the “joy of decluttering” – and of generosity! – by dropping these off at Anne Derse’s office by Monday, May 8.
