As of July 8, the Diaper Drive has raised $2,745.00 thanks to the generous contributions of parishioners of St. John’s Norwood. More importantly, the money collected has been used to purchase 8,848 diapers and 20,160 baby wipes.
Each week parents with babies in strollers line up outside the Seneca Creek Community Center (otherwise know as “the Hub”) in Gaithersburg to receive their allotment of diapers and other essential baby care products. When they they enter the facility and see multiple packages and boxes of diapers and wipes as portrayed in the enclosed photo, many will breath a sigh of relief or perhaps break into a broad smile based on the simple understanding that for a week or perhaps longer they can provide clean and properly sized diapers and wipes in the care of their precious loved ones.
None of this would have been possible without your generous contributions. Job well done!!
