Holy Week Services: March 28 – April 4
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday on March 28 and ends with Easter on April 4. Please join us for these special virtual services:
Easter, April 4
- Outdoor Sunrise Service at St. John’s at 7:00 am
Rev’d Sari will be leading a small, in-person outdoor service (max. 50 worshippers) on the front lawn of the church on Easter morning. To attend, you must register here.
- Virtual Easter Message from Rev. Sari at 10:00 am
Rev’d Sari offers an Easter Message framed by organ voluntaries and hymns led by our virtual choristers and brass, found on our YouTube channel
- Virtual Easter Sunday Service at the Washington National Cathedral at 11:15 am
We will be joining with worshippers from around the Diocese by participating in the Washington National Cathedral’s virtual Festival Holy Eucharist service with music by Cathedral musicians and a sermon by Bishop Mariann Budde. This service will be streamed on the Cathedral website, YouTube page, and Facebook page.
Holy Week Stations of the Cross: March 29-31, 9:00 am – 8:00 pm
From Monday, March 29 through Wednesday, March 31, the Nave will be open for parishioners to pray through the Stations of the Cross or simply to spend a few minutes of quiet prayer and reflection in our peaceful sanctuary.
If you would like to participate, please sign up here. Slots are 30 minutes long and are designed to allow for social distancing. The deadline for signing up is March 26.
