Completing Our Season of Service

Throughout December, we continue to encourage our church school members and all parishioners to join us in a Season of Service* to address local food shortages. Simply pull together a few nonperishable food items, or the Reverse Advent Calendar box of food, to benefit our own Nourishing Bethesda Coalition Family Food Distribution.

You will have two opportunities to bring your donations to church. On Wednesday, December 23, 5:00-7:00 pm, when the church will be open for Christmas reflection, we will have a table set up in the Memorial Garden where you can leave your contribution. Alternately, on Sunday, December 27, 12:30-1:30 pm, we invite you to drive by the West Avenue entrance, where volunteers will be on hand to receive your offerings. You will not need to leave your vehicle. Please make sure to wear a mask.

If you are unable to make either of these drop-off times, or would like to volunteer to assist with receiving food donations, please contact Dawn Molloy at dmolloy@stjohnsnorwood.org . Youth wishing to volunteer with food collection will be eligible to receive SSL hours.

*This is in lieu of the Church School Sunday of Service on December 27.
