Christmas Offerings Schedule

Tuesday, December 22
  • Blue Christmas Service, 7:00 pm – For all those that grieve this Christmas season, we are offering a contemplative Blue Christmas service in advance of other Christmas festivities. Join us live on our YouTube channel or on Zoom.

Wednesday, December 23

  • Christmas Procession and Prayer, 5:00-7:00 pm – St. John’s will temporarily re-open for a Christmas process and prayer event. Click here for more information.
Christmas Eve: Thursday, December 24
  • Children’s Christmas Service, 5:00 pm – Join St. John’s on YouTube for a 20-minute virtual Christmas service for young children and their families.
  • Christmas Message, 7:00 pm – Sari will offer a Christmas Message on YouTube in advance of the main Christmas service at the National Cathedral. Our virtual musicians will frame the message with voluntaries and carols.
  • Christmas Service at Washington National Cathedral, 8:00 pm – Welcome the birth of the Christ Child on this most holy night with a service of readings from Holy Scripture, festive carols, seasonal choral and instrumental music, and preaching by the Right Reverend Mariann Edgar Budde, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. This service will be available on the Cathedral’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
The First Sunday of Christmas, December 27
  • Christmas Lessons & Carols, 10:00 am – In place of our usual 10:00 am worship service, we will have a collaborative virtual Lessons & Carols service with neighboring Episcopal Churches in Southern Montgomery County. We will share the link when it is available.
The Second Sunday of Christmas, January 3
