St. John’s Norwood Parish is located at 6701 Wisconsin Ave. in Chevy Chase, Maryland. We’re at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Bradley Boulevard, just a few blocks from downtown Bethesda and the Metro.
Parking at St. John’s
St. John’s Norwood is an urban parish located south on Wisconsin Blvd from the Red Line’s Bethesda Metro Station. A small adjacent parking lot, on-street parking, and public parking lots are available nearby. We provide racks for bicycles at the back of the church just to the left of the West Avenue entrance. Be sure to lock your bike!
Adjacent Parking Lot
There is an adjacent parking lot on the north side of the church with parking spaces designated for St. John’s. Some spaces nearest the side entrance to the Memorial Garden are designated for Seniors – ADA tags are not required, but please help us keep these available for those who need them – particularly from 10:00 AM through Noon on Sundays. Do not park in spaces reserved for customers of neighboring businesses.
On-street parking is available on Sundays behind the church and on Wisconsin Ave. Chevy Chase permit parking restrictions are lifted on Sundays behind the church. ADA-designated parking places are adjacent to the West Avenue entrance. An ADA tag must be displayed while parked in these places.
Nearby parking lots
There are two public parking lots nearby, including a lot on Walsh Street (two blocks north of the church). The public parking lots are free on Sundays; a short walk down West Avenue brings you to St. John’s step-free entrance.
Where NOT to Park Your Car
Do not park you car in a lot or space that is designated as customer parking for the neighboring businesses, such as Bray & Scharff, Trader Joe’s and Chevy Chase Shops. They will tow your vehicle.
